An easy and green way to dispose your e-waste
Hate to dump your old computer or TV on the sidewalk? Albany residents could now call (510) 528-4052 to schedule a free pickup of your e-waste.
The service is provided by Alameda County Computer Resources Center, which is open 9 to 5, Monday through Friday, and 12 to 5 on Saturdays. Call the center and you could schedule an appointment for collection of your e-waste for recycling, refurbishment and reuse.
E-waste collected includes: Computers, TV’s, Monitor’s, Cell phones, Camera’s, PDA’s. Pickup is free, but a nominal recycling fee applies to the following items: printers, fax machines, and small household appliances.
