The real question here is how will any money get spent? Will this be like the classroom pool problem where all the money goes to one idea not spread out like it should have been?
Can the language in the ballot measure be specific enough to stop problems like the pool only issue?
In Peace,

I've always voted for school funding, even though I never had children, in the belief that education benefits the entire populace. However, at this time I absolutely can't afford any more parcel taxes. I'm on the verge of having to postpone my property tax payment to the state as it is. It's difficult to have to tell children that "we just can't afford that right now," but along with their other lessons, the facts of economic life are important for them to learn. Those members of our community fortunate enough to have the financial resources to supplement declining public revenues should consider stepping forth, rather than attempting to trap unable and/or unwilling citizens into involuntary participation by overwhelming them with their votes.
