This is the 3rd year the City of Albany had this event, which has grown bigger each year, and is shaping up as the second largest crowd-drawing event (afte Solano Stroll) in Albany. For a little city like Albany to put together such an elaborate event, the Solano Merchants' Association and its corps of volunteers deserve to be very proud and thanked. When we paraded down Solano Ave on Saturday morning, we could see how the outdoor cafe tables were well occupied, and the patrons appreciating the parade, I knew that the event had been good to downtown business. Still, I heard some passers-by say, "I didn't know we had such a thing in Albany!" Thank you for publicising the event on your website, and I think we can all make this even bettter and bigger next year if we all help "spread the word' in each our neiborhood about this culturally-rich and community-building event.
