I've had the pleasure of watching Osha work and chatting with him on a couple of different visits to the Bulb (and posted about that a couple of times on my blog , most recently on April 10, 2009). His work is absolutely magnificent and to me represents the work of a true artist, done for the pleasure of creating rather than for fame or fortune.

I've just begun reading your Up Against the Wall... publication. Best of luck with its reception, etc.

Your work at the Albany Bulb: If John Keats is right--and who would contradict that gentle sage of the English Romanticists--your art is an authentic act of spontaneous beauty/truth. Its source is the same as that wellspring of caring you possess for the poor and homeless.

Carry on, dear Osha...

Thanks, Osha. We have a couple of pieces of the fresco you did for the Berkeley Emergency Food Project and would like to preserve and hang them outside our house. Any advice?

Thank you for sharing your talent with the poor like us!! We love the bulb and your work. The suplicating woman speaks to me in a way that few pieces do. Thank you.

In June I saw these works of art. I am appalled that there is talk of civilizing and gentrifying the area. Has no one been down to walk their dog, mix with the families, enjoy the outdoors. Why does everything have to be organized and licenced and civilized. True art does not come with an instruction book. This is a beautiful place which needs to be protected in all its primitive beauty/
