Sculpture “Rose Wave” erected at Ocean View Park in Albany

    Rose wave

Sculptor Colin Lambert (left) and his assistant Peter Adams (right) erected a white sculpture at Ocean View Park on Buchanan Street in Albany Saturday. The Rose Wave sculpture, a rhythmic assembly of three petal-shaped ferrocement pieces, is a project funded by the Art in the Park program of Albany. It is named as Rose Wave because the place it locates used to be a rose nursery, and half-a-mile to its west are the waves of the San Francisco Bay, Mr. Lambert said. The three petals of Rose Wave were wrapped up later in the day, for more work was needed to complete its pedestal. Photo by Linjun Fan.
